Mark Umbricht, PhD, is the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Research in the Division of Strategy and Policy at the University of North Carolina System Office, where he works on strategegic planning and conducts research about the System foir the System. Prior to his work at the UNC System, he was a oroject manager and senior researcher at the University of Michigan. Mark holds a PhD in Higher Education (Penn State University), a masters in Ed Policy and Leadership (University of Illinois), a bachelor's of psychology (Eastern Illinois University), and an associate's degree (Harper College). Mark Has presented at numerous colleges over the past 15 years including AIR, AEFP, ASHE, and AERA on topics ranging from student success, statistical modeling, and post-graduate outcomes. His primary research interests include student success, economics of education, state and system level policy, and post-graduate outcomes.
