    Zhiyuan Ma

    Zhiyuan Ma is the Associate Director for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analysis at Florida Atlantic University. Prior to her current role, she served as a programmer and later as a technical lead. With over ten years of experience as a higher education professional and strong programming skills, she has led projects related to reporting university data to state and federal agencies, including IPEDS. She has developed SAS and PL/SQL programs to load and maintain the IR office’s databases for both external and internal requests and analysis, and has utilized BI tools to build dashboards for data visualization.
    In recent years, she has enhanced data validation processes by creating Power BI dashboards and reports that improve visualization and communication. She has presented at AIR conferences on topics such as comparing BI tools (SSRA, WebFocus, and SAS VA), studying student transfer patterns, building a BI tool for Faculty Research Productivity, and using programs and BI tools for data validation.
