Bethany Crowell, Ph.D., has over 15 years of experience in higher education and is a leader in institutional research, business intelligence, and data literacy.
She is highly experienced in the reporting of core metrics, creating meaningful dashboards, developing strategies, and implementing technologies for data analysis and management. She is also a key contributor to ongoing efforts to improve data governance.
Her well-developed interpersonal skills are vitally important in strategically managing campus relationships and effectively supervising and supporting staff, further enhancing her ability to lead data informed success in her role.
Bethany has been an active contributor to her profession, delivering numerous presentations at state and national conferences. Prior to her current role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bethany spent over six years at the University of Utah and accumulated eight years of experience at Purdue University. During this period, she dedicated two years to the advancement office at the Purdue Research Foundation and six years to the institutional research office within the university. She began her career in institutional research in the Office of Research and Evaluation at Harry S Truman College in Chicago.
Bethany holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Purdue University and a Master of Arts degree in counseling from DePaul University. She further distinguishes herself with a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology, also earned from Purdue University.
