AI-enabled, human-in-the-loop software systems can change the current reactive student success paradigm by proactively identifying students needing support and delivering early, additive intervention. DataKind has been building and implementing such software since 2018, contributing to student degree attainment at institutions like John Jay College, where the senior graduation rate increased by 32%. Thanks to generous philanthropic support, DataKind will scale this approach through 100 new institutional partnerships by 2026 at no cost to participants.
