Director of Institutional Effectiveness Mid-Plains Community College North Platte, Nebraska, United States
Session Abstract: The setting is a small, rural community college that serves a geographic area of 20,000 square miles with under 90,000 population and 35 high schools. Analysis of matriculation rates by high school indicated a large gap between rates at the two larger high schools and the high schools with the six next-largest concurrent enrollments. As a part of the Harvard Strategic Data Project Fellowship, presenters went through a collaborative process of identifying prospective factors, collecting and formatting data for analysis, and creating data visualizations and stories. The audience can expect to learn about the process and results of the research project used to inform decision support for enrollment and recruiting decision makers.
