Session Abstract: Preparing students to become teachers has been one of the foundational missions of universities for centuries. Georgia leaders wanted a data-centric view of the outcomes for students who start in teacher preparation majors and whether they graduate with a teaching degree, pass their certification exams, and go on to teach. This presentation will highlight efforts in the State of Georgia to knit together college enrollment and graduation data, licensure data, and employment data. Presenters will share the challenges of developing a four-agency data-sharing agreement, how the data were merged and configured for analysis, and share visualizations that highlight the patterns related to K-12 teacher preparation, graduation, licensure, and employment in the State of Georgia.
