Session Abstract: Milestones provide unique opportunities to reflect on the past and plan for the future of our practice. Planning the 60th administration of the CIRP Freshman Survey has enabled HERI scholars to do just that. It has also prompted the need for a larger conversation that will provide a forum for IR professionals to take stock of their experiences with survey data, covering topics including survey content, administration, deliverables, and data usage. The conversation will also cover challenges and successes in administration and applying data to institutional decision-making. The dialogue will also address the future of IR-related survey research, particularly as it relates to incoming students.
