Sr. Coordinator of Institutional Reporting
Augusta University
Augusta, Georgia, United States
My name is Christopher O. Weldon, and I am currently the Senior Coordinator of Institutional Reporting at Augusta University. I have over 27 years of experience in higher education, with 23 of those years being in institutional research. I have my undergraduate degree in Sociology and an M.Ed. in Education, Assessment, Research, and Learning. I also have a post-master's certificate in Transfer Leadership and Practice. During my career, I have had the opportunity to work at an HBCU, a PWI, and an academic health center
I actively contribute to the field of institutional research not only at Augusta University but also outside of the walls of AU by volunteering on external professional committees, presenting at professional conferences, and collaborating with IR colleagues via listservs, Teams discussions, etc. I am an active member of the University System of Georgia’s Regents Committee on Institutional Research and Planning. I recently served as the past president of that committee. I am also an active member of SAIR. I recently served as a proposal reviewer for the 2023 conference and as the chair of a review committee for the 2024 conference. Most recently, I served as a reviewer for the SAIR Best Paper Award for the 2025 conference. I advocate servant leadership and believe and practice my undergraduate motto of “While We Live, We Serve.”
