Data Scientist
Dallas College, United States
I am a data scientist at Dallas College, where I develop machine learning and transfer modeling tools to improve student success, with a focus on retention and outcomes for transfer students. My models support over 60,000 students, driving real-time interventions and strategic decision-making. My research background spans deep learning, graph modeling, and topological data analysis, with published work in venues such as AAAI, PAKDD, and AI for the Earth Systems. At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, I applied geometric deep learning and persistent homology to detect COVID-19 hotspots and analyze infrastructure networks. I hold a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Texas at Dallas and continue to focus on applying AI to solve real-world challenges in education and beyond.
