As a Data Analytics Specialist and Agricultural Economist, I hold dual master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University, having graduated in Spring 2020 with an M.S. in Agricultural Economics and an M.S. in Business Analytics and Data Science. During my first master’s program, I focused on research analyzing Chinese preferences and nutritional knowledge of pecans, utilizing statistical tools like STATA, SAS, and R Studio for data analysis. This experience honed my passion for using big data and statistical methods to identify trends, solve problems, and uncover valuable insights from complex datasets. Upon graduating, I joined the Institutional Research (IR) office at Dallas College, where I specialize in leveraging data and analytics to optimize financial aid processes, reporting, and strategic decision-making. My work plays a critical role in ensuring that financial aid programs not only align with institutional goals but also effectively support student success. I am dedicated to strategically utilizing financial aid data to enhance student outcomes, optimize resource allocation, and drive institutional performance improvements. I designed a powerful, custom-built tool that delivers live data, revolutionizing how departments manage, evaluate, and report key metrics.
