Vice President of Strategic Planning and Effectiveness

Dr. Eric Godin is the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Effectiveness at St. Thomas University (Florida). As a member of the President's Cabinet, he is responsible for providing leadership and direction for key university functions, specifically in the areas of strategic planning and institutional research/effectiveness. In addition, he works collaboratively with the institution's accreditation liaisons for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), American Bar Association (ABA), and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Eric has a wide background of experiences in higher education that include individual institutions, state systems, national organizations, and adjunct teaching. He has served as an institutional SACSCOC liaison, on national data advisory groups, and is active in institutional research and effectiveness organizations at the state, regional, and national levels. He is currently a Board Member for the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR) and the Immediate-Past President of the Florida Association for Institutional Research (FAIR).
Eric is also an advocate for increasing access to helpful resources in the higher education community and is the co-creator of The Node for IR, a weekly e-newsletter highlighting 10-15 news items, reports, updates, and a weekly poll question for the field of institutional research/effectiveness (https://sites.google.com/view/thenodeforir).
