Tam Nguyen earned her BSc in Electrical Engineering from the School of Electronics and Telecommunications at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2011. She completed her MSc in Computer Engineering at Chonnam National University, Korea, in 2014, and obtained her PhD from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University in 2021. Her research interests focus on machine learning, particularly graphical models and deep learning. Since 2021, she has been working as a Data Scientist for Analytics & AI at Virginia Tech. In this role, she designs and maintains predictive models that provide insights from large datasets to support the university's strategic decision-making. Additionally, she offers comprehensive analytical support related to enrollment and student data, including data analysis, reporting, decision support, and visualization.
