Associate Vice President for Continuous Improvement and Innovation Analytics Anne Arundel Community College Arnold, Maryland, United States
Session Abstract: Relevant literature has documented the benefits of dual enrollment (DE) as a strategy for getting a head start on college and prioritizing equity. With the passage of Blueprint for Maryland’s Future legislation in 2021, enrollment of high school students taking college-level coursework has dramatically increased, particularly for Maryland community colleges. This presentation showcases how a comprehensive IR office uses data visualization, analysis, and assessment to support DE course delivery, track student educational pathways, and enhance DE student success as well as institutional outcomes. Specific IR work examples that helped to advance the college’s data-informed decision-making will be shared at the session.
