Session Abstract: This workshop provides institutional researchers with the tools and knowledge needed to harness the power of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for text mining and analytics. Participants will learn to process and analyze unstructured data, such as survey responses and feedback, using NLP techniques and pre-trained LLMs.. By gaining hands-on experience, attendees will be able to effectively categorize text, perform sentiment analysis, recognize and extract named entities to support data-driven decision-making in their institutions. This session is ideal for those interested in transforming unstructured data into actionable insights, ultimately enhancing institutional research capabilities.
