Session Abstract: As the landscape of higher education evolves, so too do the roles and skills required of Institutional Research professionals. This poster session explores how job responsibilities and qualifications in IR have shifted over the past two decades by analyzing job postings from 2005 and 2024. Using thematic analysis, this study highlights key trends. Attendees will gain an understanding of the evolving expectations for both upper-level and entry-level IR positions, along with key findings that highlight the future direction of the field.
